At least one person has been feared dead in a gun battle alleged to have involved thugs from the two political parties in the state at Omuawa community in Ikwerre LGA.
The shooting which occurred at the Omuawa-Ubima road, the way that leads to Amaechi’s community started around 10am as the residents of the area fled for safety.
It has not been confirmed what the cause of the gun battle was, but one person is feared killed.
As at the tme of this report the corps was still lying by the road side.
Meanwhile, Channels TV camera man, Mr. Maurice Bassey has been beaten up at the Rumumasi area in Obio/Akpor LGA by some political thugs. He sustained some bruises.
